Bachelorette Parties!

One of our favorite activities here at Walk on Water is taking groups of inexperienced paddlers out on the water for the first time and seeing their smiles as they conquer their doubts and learn something new. It’s the best feeling for every one of our instructors. Often, we revel in the opportunity to show people a new  activity, perspective and a new way to enjoy the water. It is with this thought in mind that we have recently been open to group parties and especially bachelorette parties!

Let’s face it. When our friends mention the words ‘bachelroette party’ we tend to have some very specific pre-conceived notions of what will be taking place. Usually they involve a bar, shots, and lots of n laughter. Which is great!! These types of parties of fun and exciting. But they also might be a little familiar.

But, what if you were looking for something different to do for your bachelorette party in Ocean City, MD? Well, that’s where Walk on Water comes in.  We offer fun-filled group packages for large parties looking to expand their party’s beyond the realm of the bar and onto the water.

This, of course, includes activities such as beginner paddle instructions. Where we go over a quick tutorial on paddling- covering such things as proper paddle length, stroke, and technique, as well as how to stand up on the boards and proper foot placement. Once that is covered, the rest of the allotted time is spent on the water enjoying the view and hanging with friends.

Or, for the adventurous groups, we offer SUP yoga- where our instructors will take you through an entire yoga flow, enjoying the sounds of the surrounding creek and sunshine. Ending with a peaceful savasana underneath the shade of a tree.

Each class spans around 1-2 hrs long so there will be plenty of time to hit the vast array of bars in Ocean City afterwards!
